Vital energy

My work is a reflection on Vital Energy. It is an installation combining photographs and film, conceived as a space of Energy whose pieces aspire to be artistic quantum plots charged with vital energy.

It is a poetic essay consisting of interviews and photographs
of people with very pure energy in different parallel spiritual traditions: Hindu, shamanist and Buddhist around the earth. I try to share a living spiritual dimension manifested, to re-open gates of energy, such as an esoteric passenger, in order to access to vital energy and share it in this installation.

Quantum physicists indicate that the universe is interconnected in a subtle way that reinforces the similarities between the conceptions of physicists and those of some great mystics.

In atomic physics, it is now essential to include the “Human conscience” in the understanding of the world. On the other hand the neurosciencesand the psychology explain today techniques work on the brain to gain access to mindfulness, traces of the wise Buddhists.

This is a research of primordial images in the living in different environments and without prioritization, of vital energy on the body that have decided to “let go” with appearances and the illusions of a fleeting world. It is also a sharing of information, not in the form of teaching but in the living, in discussions with great mystics in the chosen spiritual traditions as well as with the summits of the physical and human sciences.

Since antiquity, “The body is the receptacle of the soul” for Cicero, 45 BC

”THE MAN, THE SHAMAN, HAS QUALITIES IN DIRECT RELATIONSHIP WITH THE SUBSTANCE OF THE UNIVERSE COSMIC ENERGY .THIS WAKAN, ORENDA MANA OR IS ANY KIND SIMPLE SHAPE, OR MORE ACCURATELY SYMBOL AL PURE, SO succeptible TO LOAD N ANY CONTENT SYMBOLIC ” Claude Lévi-Strauss

“Man is trapped in the flesh, hence the necessity and urgency of succor through salvation …” Francis Bacon

“Everything that moves away from a contemplative approach to life is an almost assured promise of misfortune” Father Thomas Keating

At the heart of this pilgrimage initiatory, the spiritual and the human body are bridges among other creations of this world who seem to be opposed and are in fact partners in the dynamic dance of evolution.

Guided by these pure emotions with this spiritual wealth lived and with the help of the person photographed we realize a conscious interaction in the material. Each photograph becomes charged with this vital energy.

The project is realized with large photographic cameras: 9x12cm, 20x25cm and 30x40cm. The work with the large-format photographic cameras refers to the search of the photographers explorers of the nineteenth century.
It is also a work of interior exploration for the operator and the person photographed.

I use black and white negatives, colors, polaroids as well as the wet plate process. The photographs are then performed on glass plates format 20x25cm and 30x40cm.The wet plate process, which is a nineteenth century technic reveals what the human eye cannot see. The return to traditional photographic technics draws from the sources of the magic of photography, alchemy, dematerialization.

The alchemy of the people involved, places, astrological conjunction, chemicals reveals and sets in the material the spirits, the consciousness, the vital energy that circulates in and around us.

The glass carries the memories, because of its chemical composition. The wet plate process by its technical quality, its chemical components: ether and alcohol and its fragility accentuates the emotion, the relation to the soul.

Pure water omnipresent in the chemical process, in the different protagonists photographed, positively loads the plates in reference to work on the energy consciousness in water and its sensitivity to the fields of human consciousness.

The place thus becomes a place of transition, meditation. The work becomes a battery charged with Cosmic Energy. The device expands the consciousness field, offering an alternative to our societies of consumption and distraction.
It is a celebration of life, harmony and vital energy so far and so close in us.
